CELEBRATING THE 100TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE FIRST WORLD SERIES

  • Major League Baseball celebrated the 100th anniversary the best possible way it could.... by having the Pirates and Red Sox face off against each other this season.
  • The series  took place June 3rd through the 5th at PNC Park. There was an unfortunate rainout the first day before Boston went on to take two of the three in the series.
  • Both teams wore throwback uniforms on the 5th in a turn back the clock night.
